Well, I certainly didn't want to go to the pool today. It was kind of blah out, and I was kind of tired, but I thought I'd go anyway and see what I could do. I was the only one there for my warm-up, where I was thinking, "should I do 400s today?" or "should I just try to get 2000 in and go home". . . when Matt showed up. Best. Lanepartner. Ever. We did the 3X400 as listed, even though I felt like I was dragging a piano. A heavy, ebony and ivory one. And maybe it's little upright sister too. Then we did the 2x500 recovery set as listed. And that was okay. But it was only an hour in at that point. So we thought, "what would julie do?" and added another round. After the 3x500, we still had lots of time, and at that point, we were already at 3100, and Matt made the argument for nice round numbers, so we did 400 warmdown. There ya have it. 3500.
Or, like this:
Warmup (400m)*: swim, kick, pull, swim
Main set (1200m): 3x400 free on 7:50. The first two were right on 7 minutes, so 50 seconds rest. The last was about 7:12, and felt sl--ow.
Recovery (1500m): 3x [3x50 backstroke (:5**), 100 IM kick (:5), 3x50 freestyle (:5), 100 IM full stroke] (1:00)
Warmdown (400m): 150 kick, 200 freestyle, 50 breaststroke
*sounds silly, but I'm finding that 300 just doesn't warm me up lately. 400 seems to, though.
**I really have no idea why we didn't take the :15 as listed. huh.
No core today.

You had me laughing out loud this morning, I should make you guys WWJD bracelets to wear (what would Julie do). Looks like a great workout though!
Thanks for the warmup note, That's good to know and I'll be sure to make the change.
I know, so funny. My favourite "WW" so far, though, has to be WWJJD: What Would Joan Jett Do? . . . which becomes surprisingly more irrelevant as I burn through my thirties. . . .
