maybe just tired

. . .again, or still.

Made it out for a walk, and made true on the double circuit today.

45 min swim at noon today
Warmup (400m): the usual
Main set (1200m): 6 x 200m on 3:55. I came in at 3:24-3:27 throughout. One of them was a 150 (lane etiquette--I had to stop!). I felt like I was pushing it, and tried to push extra hard on the last 200 (3:25).*
Recovery (200m): 2 x 100 [50 kick, 50 choice]. It was 50 back kick, 50 breaststroke, 50 dolphin kick (prone, then supine), 50 backstroke.
Warm-down (200m): 200 easy, and a play in the kiddie pool with two fine young up-and-comers.

*That's when I realized that maybe I ate a little too close to practice today. My appetite has been funny, and I'm realizing that I didn't eat as well this week as I should have--as in, not enough fuel before practice. Maybe that has something to do with feeling like I'm dragging myself around to workouts? That, and I've felt a little stressed about the upcoming travel. It's a good stress, but stress nonetheless. I'm ready for a change of scenery, and packed for it too!
