. . .was hard too. I have had a terrible appetite in the past week. As in, I'm not all that hungry, and haven't really been eating meals. I'm snacking a bit, but in general, I just haven't been interested. Which is extremely out of the ordinary for me. I love food! So the lack of "energy in" is yielding a decided lack of "energy out." I picked up a nice fish for a proper post-workout dinner, though, to hopefully get back in the groove again.
Warm-up (400m): swim, kick, pull, swim.
Feel good (200m). Focus on hand entry and hitting the centre line (increase rotation somewhat).
Race pace (200m). Was hardly race pace. . . I did 2x50, the first on :50 (well, I came in at about :43), and after the second, about a 20 second rest. Then another 2:50 just like it. I felt terrible, so stopped doing them. Not the best training plan, I know, but at the time it felt like survival.
Recovery (300m). 50 back/ 50 breaststroke, 2x[50 free/ 50 breast].
Aerobic kick (with board) (400m): 400IM kick [50 very easy/ 50 fast]
Warmdown: talking with Matt, who had suspiciously just arrived, then hitting the hot tub.
