I tried the 50m pool yesterday--beautiful and full of windows. . . made me remember that I have to spend some serious time in the long course!
Again, it was a busy pool (about 10 of us in a lane), and full of strange customs. An example: it is mandatory to wear a swimsuit in the showers. . . made doubly necessary by having open doors to the pool area right in front of the showers. Or maybe it's just so they don't have to hire people to enforce the mandatory swimsuit rule. huh.
Basically, I did about 1200, mixed strokes, medium-low intensity. But it was better than sitting around eating more gruyère, which is how we spent the rest of our time in Chambéry.
