back in the groove

I got back into the morning routine today: 40 minute walk with Bruno + 9 minutes core. After the wind last night, I wanted to take some pictures--before all the leaves are gone and we enter the bleak. See, I can handle fall. I kind of like it. And I can't wait for winter and snow. It's just "the bleak" that I have trouble with. No leaves, all cold, no snow. I've got to make a plan to make the bleak fun this year.

The wind really was screaming through our house last night. I was so surprised to still see some leaves on trees.

Tonight: swimming.
Warm-up (300m): swim, kick, pull
Main set (1200m): 3x400 free
Based on my time from last week, I thought I'd do these on 8:30. But I came in on the first one at 7:00, so set my pace at 8 minutes. I did the first two right on 7:00 and the third on 7:12. And I took a full minute between (at the 8 minute pace--I was winded!). Next time, I'll try pacing on 7:45.
Recovery (400m): 3x50 backstroke (:15), 100 IM kick (:15), 3x50 free
Warmdown (200): choice (mostly pull)
===2100

What today's workout was supposed to be: look here.

HAH! You do realize that when you add extra mileage to my workouts--you get longer workouts!! Put those fins on whenever you like (outside of the main set), just make sure they don't become a crutch for a weak freestyle kick!

I don't know whats worse, a sketchy pool or the black lung from cleaning chemicals. Uggh.
