pre-caffe latte

Before meeting up with Mike and going to the best little café I've ever been to, and having the best decaf caffe latte I've ever tasted (along with a little brioche filled with creme), I had a little workout in the pool this morning.

Warm-up (400m): 100 swim, 100 kick, 100 pull, 100 reverse IM
Technique (600m): 8x75 in IM order, 25 drill/ 50 swim
Aerobic (1000m): 2x [5x100 free on 1:55*]
Recovery (300m): reverse IM kick
warmdown (200m): easy
===2500m

*I swear I heavily weighed the possibility of doing the full set of 4, or 2000m. And I heavily weighed the possibility of doing them on 1:50. But seriously, between the current condition of my lungs (full of smog and second-hand smoke) and the current condition of my appetite (all wacky from the tabacky and nutella everywhere I look. . . I couldn't even eat a proper dinner last night), doing a full set on a fast time was just not possible. And I'm into achievable goals. So, maybe next time. As it was, I managed the first two coming in at 1:40/ 1:41. The last two--1:52ish.
